Back For Good MATT is a revolutionary crystal-clear liquid that can restore any colour faded smooth or shiny plastic vehicle trim to its original factory finish - such as faded plastic bumpers, side mouldings, etc. An easy-to-apply, hard coating, Back For Good gives results that last for years and protects due to its inbuilt UV blockers and salt protection. It even prevents re-fading with its unique fade-stop formulation and won’t yellow, crack or peel as the coating remains flexible.
Back For Good won’t wash off and works on any colour abs plastic. As well as using it on faded trims, side mouldings, mirror casings, spoilers and bumpers, it can be used on wheel arches, wiper arms and on plastic components in engine bays.
Back For Good is simple and quick to apply and won’t leave a sticky or slimy residue. It gives excellent coverage - just 60ml of the coating will coat 2m² of surface area. After washing your faded trim with soapy water and allowing it to dry, just apply sparingly with the provided applicators and leave to dry and cure. Your vehicle can be back on the road in approximately one hour.
A GLOSS version for smooth, shiny plastics, such as wiper arms, is also available.

Wash the trim with a mild soapy water solution to remove all previous coatings, grease and silicones. As Back For Good is a crystal clear coating, any grease, dirt or old coatings that are not removed may make the result patchy. If necessary, use a soft scrubbing brush to clean textured areas.
Rinse well with clean water to ensure all soap is removed. A good test is to look at the trim when it is wet - if it looks in good condition with no blemishes, then this is how it will look when coated. If not, repeat as above until all contamination and oxidization is removed.
Allow to dry completely - use paper towels or a warm air dryer (or hairdryer) if necessary.
Solvent wipe with the Adhere Cleaning Wipes included in the kit and allow to dry.
Apply Back For Good with a lint-free cloth or applicator sponge. Dampen the cloth or sponge with the coating - it may be easier to pour a small amount into a tin tray, glass vessel or suchlike (avoid plastic as this can be affected by the coating).
Wipe the coating sparingly onto the trim and work it into the texture. Once it starts to dry, do not continue to wipe. If you have missed a small area, wait until completely dry and then apply a second coat - or apply to the area that was missed (you will not get a start or finish mark as Back For Good coating blends into itself and is self levelling).
Back For Good is usually touch-dry in 5-15 minutes, depending on temperature. You may speed up the drying time by gentle use of a blower or hair dryer.
The coating will take 24 hours to cure (harden fully), but vehicles can be used as soon as Back For Good is dry (approximately 1 hour+).
The coated surface cleans up easily with just soap and water. Do not use cleaners with solvents to clean the coated surface. Suggested cleaners: Mild soap/car shampoo and water.
If you make a mistake or are not entirely satisfied with the results, it may be due to the surface not being completely clean, leaving dirt visible under the coating. Back For Good needs to make contact with the plastic to react and treat the problem. If any old wax or silicones are not fully removed, then the finished result could look patchy or cloudy.
Back For Good can easily be removed by using xylene, de-natured or isopropyl alcohol. Simply wipe over the area with a cloth soaked in the solvent and, once clean and dried, just re-coat as per the instructions above.
Scrub the trim with a hard brush, such as a nail brush, and a harsh detergent to remove all the old silicones and waxes from the grain of the plastic. Don't be afraid to scrub hard - even use scouring powder if you need to. When the trim dries, it may even look more faded than when you started. Don't worry! This is ideal as it demonstrates that all the wax, dye and silicone has been removed and Back For Good can go to work on a clean surface. Rinse well with a hose and cloth, allow to dry and coat.
